Master's in Cultural Studies

The master's in Cultural Studies grants the unique opportunity to pursue an advanced graduate program in the social sciences that transcends disciplinary frontiers. It is designed to promote a critical analysis on the way an increasing set of social actors build their identity and develop their every day life in globalization times. This point of view considers the way in which different phenomena interact: economic, social and political contexts, local and global power structures, cultural industries and new information technologies, local and world production of knowledge, as well as ethnic, racial and gender conflicts.

The program requires a presence of four semesters and it's scheduled in the evening ( 6 to 9 p.m. ). There are four subjects per semester, including workshops and seminars, with a maximum class time of eight hours per week.
