The School of Economics and Business of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, The School of Financial Engineering of Universidad de Medellin, The Management School of Universidad EAFIT, and the School of Economics and Business of Universidad Tecnologica de Bolivar are pleased to announce the V NATIONAL AND II INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC FINANCIAL CONFERENCE, to be held in Medellin, Colombia, on the 21st and 22nd of August, 2008.

This year, we will count with the presence of Doctor Andrea Roncoroni, Associate Professor of Finance at ESSEC Business School and Visiting Lecturer at Bocconi University (Milan). He holds PhD in Applied Mathematics on the University Of Trieste, Italy, And PhD in Finance on the Université Paris IX Dauphine, France.

Also, we will count with Doctor Igor P. Rivera, Associate Director of the Master in Finance in EGADE, Mexico City. Dr. Rivera is Ph.D. in Financial Sciences of Tecnológico de Monterrey with Mention of Excellence and recommendation Mention of Cum Laude. Also, he holds MS in Finance and MS in Business Economy, in which he obtained the Mention of excellence.

OBJECTIVE

Following our tradition, National and International Academicians have been invited to discuss advances in financial subjects such as the creation of new products, market trends, education in finance and its problems, advances in corporate finance techniques and the dimensions of the Corporate Social Responsibility. We will also attempt to expand our National and International Financial Academicians Network in order to contribute to the development of science, and to recognize the efforts of the different universities, their publications and their research.
