- Modern Art Museum of Bogotá – Mambo· (Calle 24 No. 6-00)
Exhibits a complete collection of modern art work basically consisting of drawing, paintings, engraved work, sculpture and assembly.
- Bogotá Museum (Carrera 7 con Calle 26, Planetario Distrital)
Founded in 1968, as space dedicated to preserving urban intervention and to provide a sight of public works developed in Bogotá, within historical, social and cultural context.
- Gold Museum (Carrera 6 Calle 16 Santander Park)
Banco de la República Gold Museum collection was declared National Monument and is considered the most important of the type in the world.
- Botero Museum· (Calle 11 No. 4-41/4-93)
Art collection donated by Colombian master Fernando Botero catalogued as the most important in the history of the country.
- National Museum of Colombia (Carrera 7 No. 28-66)
The National Museum is the oldest in the country and one of the oldest in the continent, built in 1823. Its fortress architecture is built in stone and brick.
BOGOTÁ AT NIGHT
- Rose Zone: Located to the north of the city between calles 79 and 85 and carreras 11 and 15, near Andino Mall. Discotheques, bars and restaurants are ideal places for dancing, friendly encounters, romantic dates or business meetings.
Commercial stores offer all type of decorative objects, antiques, brand and informal clothes and artisan jewelry. Facing Andino Mall parking lot exit the “T Zone”, brick paved pedestrian passage housing restaurants, cafés, stores and jewelries with attractive exhibition windows and a mobile gallery exhibiting photographs.
- Carrera 15: Starts at calle 72 and ends at the Country Club entrance at diagonal 129. This street forms an important commercial corridor attending to north inhabitants’ needs.
- Calle 100: Another important street connecting the east, west and north of the city part of carrera 7th. If taken from the start extensive premises to the north of the street are seen, those are Nueva Granada Military University grounds. On the south side important business centers: Banco Santander building, World Trade Center, DAS Administrative Security Department head quarters and the Ministry of Foreign Relations.
- Park of 93: Located in one of the most exclusive areas of the city, is northern youngsters’ preferred park. A great variety of restaurants, Internet cafes, bars and ice cream parlors concentrate in the area.
SHOPPING
- International Center: International Center congregates prestigious jewelries. Typical and artisan work, boutiques, leather goods and suitcases may be found. Best establishments are located near Tequendama Hotel and Bavaria Central Park.
- Chapinero: Commercial stores basically extend along carrera 13th axle. Clothes, leather articles and shoes, tissues, fixtures, libraries, stationary stores and music shops can be found.
- North: Commercial establishments, malls, hypermarkets, and higher-class department stores are located in the area. Large number of boutiques, jewelries and money exchange houses located on carreras 11 and 15.
