Objectives

Taking at a starting point the interaction society-nature, to analyze the transformations and productive, social and political processes related to the rural and regional development, in order to generate knowledge, methodologies and strategies that provide to social actors, alternative ways to improve their social and economic conditions.

To offer teaching services to the academic programs at the University that includes research, courses and/or consultancy activities related to the Department’s topics.

To contribute to the organization and construction of comprehensive alternatives of the Colombian rural communities
