Abstract
Cultural change is the result of conservative, reformable and revolutionary processes, destroyers of old structures. The attempt to preserve, at the XXI century, the ideals of the book culture and to optimize existent structures, by means of digitalization, e-learning and electronic interconnection, seems something inevitable that, however, diverts the attention of the new media real potentials. Yet, if the new learning and new thought are not the continuation of the model present for the last 500 years, and if the new media is not just an electronic mutation of the book but being tied to the parallel processing of low interaction ideal, what can be that new learning?
