Summary
The study explores the quality attributes in the assessment process from the students’ perspective outlined by the group of professional standards proposed by the Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation. The analysis of a questionnaire applied to a sample of 311 students from two schools in Spain illustrated relevant quality evaluation aspects such as: legitimacy and assessment procedure warrantees, orientations, clarity of information, and presentation of results as feedback.

Transference to practice
One of the implications derived from this study for educational administration implies the need for a shared vision in regards to what is understood as quality evaluation. In this sense, the standards provide a base for professional consensus and a group of principles and criteria to advance in the subject. From a didactic standpoint, the improvement of quality evaluation systems is more feasible through the understanding of the perception of the students about the assessment practices of the educational institution. |
