- Supertransporte expide Circular No. 14 de 2014 - Supertransporte expidió la Circular No. 14 del 15 de julio de 2014, en ejercicio de las funciones de Vigilancia, Inspección y Control asignadas en virtud de los Decretos 101 y 106 de 2000, modificadas por el Decreto 2741 de 2001, se permite recordar a las empresas se servicio público de transporte público de transporte terrestre automotor en las modalidades de pasajeros por carretera, especial, mixto y carga, dar escrito cumplimiento a las obligaciones previstas en el parágrafo 2° del artículo 17 del Decreto 1383 del 16 de marzo de 2010, que modifico al artículo 93 de la ley 019 del 10 de enero de 2012.

- Global drug use prevalence stable, says UNODC World Drug Report 2014 — Drug use prevalence is stable around the world, according to the 2014 World Drug Report of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), with around 243 million individuals, or 5 per cent of the world's population aged 15-64, having used an illicit drug in 2012. Problem drug users meanwhile numbered about 27 million, roughly 0.6 per cent of the world's adult population, or 1 in every 200 people.
- Security Council expresses support to UNODC on fight against drug trafficking — Following yesterday's debate in the Security Council Chamber on the situation in Afghanistan, the Council published a Presidential Statement stressing the need for continued action against illicit drug trafficking. "The Security Council recognizes the threat posed by the production, trade, trafficking of illicit drugs to international peace and stability in different regions of the world and the important role played by UNODC in this regard."
- UNODC Chief tells Security Council Afghan challenges “formidable,” emphasises need for long-term engagement — The Executive Director of UNODC, Yury Fedotov, told the Security Council today that possible declines in economic development, international aid and business confidence would most likely increase Afghanistan's reliance on the illicit economy. "Over the last decade, drug cultivation and production have been the most profitable illicit and criminal business activities in Afghanistan."
